The time of year when rumors of million dollar transfers abound is not yet over. Fortunately most of the biggest Latin American stars have found a club –even Mexican goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa, who posted this sad selfie while waiting for a team to pick him up, has snagged a spot at Malaga FC.

But there are a few players whose situations are still up in the air. One of those is none other than musical talent and dribble redefiner, Ronaldinho.

His contract with Atletico Mineiro was not renewed and he is now free to, as superstars seem to prefer saying, take his talents to… wherever they manage to meet his fee. Rumors were obviously blazing all through the week: that he might join Boca Juniors, that he might go back to Europe. The strongest rumor of them all: that he is headed for MLS.

This year the MLS has stockpiled on Brazilian talent: Julio Cesar, has signed on for another season and a few weeks back another offensive juggernaut arrived in the US. Kaká signed with expansion team Orlando. They even made him a welcome video.

So, MLS, be kind to Ronaldinho. If rumors are true, please remember this is what you are getting.

He is 34 now. While his dashing speed of former years might be a little worse for wear, his otherworldly ball control and clarity of vision will not fade anytime soon. Don’t believe me? Well, this is what he gave to his former club.

Dear MLS, cherish him.
