Don’t think for a second that Mexico’s Hip-Hop scene solely orbits Monterrey or Mexico City. MCs such as Mike Diaz (no relation to our boy Álvaro Díaz) are popping up from cities less known for their music scenes, in this case, Aguascalientes.
Diaz recently made a trip up north to California where he made an appearance on The Cypher Effect, a Youtube channel dedicated to giving emerging talent a shot on the mic to a wider audience. Diaz gives a literally breathtaking freestyle in his trademark slightly-raspy voice. Check it out below.
Diaz also released a new track on Spotify/iTunes last week, “Mexas en NY,” which features Manotas and JarsMan on the mic.
