After listening to this song, I realized I hadn’t heard this kind of music in a long time, and boy did I need it. Guti, the veteran Argentine techno/house producer, just released “Rompe Corazones,” a track that reminds us of that famous French duo, Air (Premiers Symptomes, anyone?).
This track shares the name of the album to be released on April 30th, which is less than a week from now. Guti has been sharing a couple of other songs that will also appear on the LP and you can listen to those on the rompecorazones label Facebook page.
Here Guti moves away from his techno and house past and shares his more frenchi side. A little bit of jazz and relaxed electro—think Sebastian Tellier—get channeled through what could be a Rhodes Mark II or a classic Wurlitzer. In any case, if you’re trying to impress a girl or just want to relax, this is a track to get into.
