It’s Barcelona versus Madrid, Catalán versus Español, Univers versus Celica XX in LaFonoteca’s September release, Puente Aéreo vol. 2: Univers+Celica XX. The “versus” makes it sound contentious, when in reality the songs are the only angry parts of this project. Barcelona’s Univers and Madrid’s Celica XX blend well, the songs seeming to exchange glances and thumbs ups. Univers’ “Plouen Planetas” starts us off with an incessant rhythm and Celica XX’s “Veneno por Navidad”—originally off 2013’s Niños Luchando—shatters everything everywhere.
