Gaby Moreno celebrates the arrival of la primavera with the premiere of her latest video for “Valle De Magnolias,” off last year’s Spanish-language album Postales. It’s a fun and carefree frolic in her home country that will bring the sunshine into the bleakest office space.

The video was shot in her native Guatemala by Tita Moreno and Charlie Quezada; it features Moreno as an intrepid reporter/photographer disguised as an owl (check out that awesome owl beanie!) as she tries to capture photos of two human-sized rabbits that live, work, and play in the titular valley. They are joined by a number of children who don’t know the meaning of the word “bored.”

As always, Moreno’s voice is the centerpiece of the track; critics have compared it to Edith Piaf’s and it’s easy to hear why in this song. There are buckets of talent and emotion pouring out of every syllable.

Is there a better anthem for the outdoors? I certainly haven’t heard it! Use this as your alarm tone until summer arrives. I guarantee you’ll wake up with a smile every morning.
