The brains behind Smorgasburg and Brooklyn Flea have taken their endeavors across the river to the streets of South Street Seaport. In an effort to breathe new life into the damage stricken area (Thanks, Sandy) the shiny new SmorgasBar boasts of 12 pop-up restaurants as well as a shipping container-turned-bar, giving it that chic post-apocalyptic feel.

Included in the line up is a Remezcla staple, Fonda, serving up authentic Mexican cuisine. Here you’ll find a condensed version of their Manhattan and Brooklyn menus, with classic tortas, tacos, and Quesillos, a tortilla stuffed to the brim with cilantro, carrots, jalapeños, cheese and black beans. Check out the pictures above and stop SmorgasBar every day through until October, opening at 11am. Check out their website for the full restaurant line-up.
