Viernes Culturales/Cultural Fridays, the last Friday of each month, takes place in the heart of Calle Ocho’s historic Little Havana. Pedestrians line the sidewalks to enjoy fine art, food, music, and friends.
Local residents and visitors from all over the world attend Cultural Fridays to stroll Calle Ocho from 17th to 13th Avenues. Art Galleries open their doors for special exhibitions by renowned Cuban and other Latin American artists. This is a great opportunity to visit artists’ workshops while swinging to the rhythms of jazzy Latin melodies sampling a glass of wine.
Dining is a culinary feast among the neighborhood’s wealth of great restaurants. Strolling around allows the visitor the opportunity to enjoy the atmosphere of this celebrated street. Take a walking tour of the district, stop by the Tower Theatre, one of Miami’s cultural landmarks, and enjoy live musical performances along the sidewalks of Calle Ocho.
Visit Viernes Culturales between 7:00 and 11:00 p.m.
