Pedro Almodóvar fans rejoice! After some sly hints and rumors, Sony Pictures Classics has finally released a teaser trailer for “Los Amantes Pasajeros” (re-titled as “I’m So Excited” in English), and naturally, we have no clear details on what the movie is about. What most have gathered so far is that an eclectic group of passengers start to bond while they face a life threatening situation on board a plane flying to Mexico City. And based on the trailer, we know three drunk male flight attendants take matters into their own hands with a sassy rendition of “I’m So Excited” by The Pointer Sisters. Because when you’re on the verge of death, WHY NOT?

His brother Agustin Almodóvar, who is also the producer of the film, has said that, “it is a witty comedy, with very spicy dialogues and with a lot of fun and transgression.”

Being likened to his earlier films,” Women On the Verge of A Nervous Breakdown” and “Time Me Up! Tie Me Down!“, “I’m So Excited” seems to mark the return of the campy and absurd comedies that Almodóvar fans learned to love, in contrast to his recent forays into creepy/dramatic thrillers like “The Skin I Live In.”

Although not seen in the trailer, Almodóvar favorites Penelope Cruz, Antonio Banderas, and Paz Vega are signed on to make cameos. And if this teaser tells us anything, the performances will be something we won’t ever expect. Hate to say it but I’M SO EXCITED
