Today, over 1,000 organizations, including our friends over at Voto Latino, are coming together in a national effort to register voters for the first ever National Voter Registration Day.

According to the Pew Hispanic Center, a record number of Hispanics – 23.4 million – are currently eligible to vote. That’s up from 19.5 million in 2008. As a result, it’s estimated that the Latino vote could decide five key battleground states in this election (Colorado, Nevada, Florida, North Carolina and Virginia). But the only way to harness our power and make our voices heard – be they Democrat, Republican, Independent, Green Party, Libertarian or what have you – is to REGISTER and VOTE.
