Out of all the bands in Los Angeles’ latin music scene, Chicano Batman was perhaps the most criminally underrepresented…until now. The soul/psych/tropical quartet has raised its profile over the past few months thanks to a new EP, Joven Navegante, and tons of riveting performances throughout the southland (including a high-profile opening set for cumbia heavyweight Ondatrópica).

Dubbed Los Caballeros Obscuros, the four-piece hopes to keep that momentum going with their first video for the aforementioned album. The video for the title-track was shot by none other than B+ (AKA Brain Cross) — hip-hop scholar, photographer, and founder of Mochilla — live in Highland Park at the group’s management company, Qvolé Collective. In this video, there are roosters chillin’ during soundcheck, folks lounging with the aid of delicious Mexican food, and a great live version of el “Joven Navegante.” Watch it below:
