Unlike other artist that invoke the name of Brazil (with a “z,” in its English spelling) as part of their band’s name, these Brothers of Brazil are actually from Brazil. But on a first glimpse it might seem otherwise–they mainly sing in English. Yes, like many other Brazilian artists with international projection (from Sepultura to CSS) the brothers Supla and Jõao (I’m gonna go ahead and assume they’re real brothers too, since they didn’t lie about their nationality) write their songs in Shakespeare’s language and their songs are surprisingly well written and even have plenty of genius moments with original topics and quirky references.
