According to this article from La Opinion, Calle 13’s frontman René Pérez is moving to Bushwick, where he plans to become my best friend. Okay I made up that last part.
He’s quoted as saying:
“Estoy buscando una casa y al mismo tiempo un espacio para tener un estudio. Quería tener los dos en el mismo lugar, pero está difícil… El estudio lo pensé en Bushwick, porque sé que es un barrio dentro de Brooklyn que tiene un desarrollo artístico actual y está en ese momento en que todavía se siente el barrio… Se están mudando muchos artistas allá porque los están desplazando. Me parece un lugar como que tiene el barrio todavía ahí , pero también tiene el arte ahí metío”.
Okay, so technically where he wants to live is kind of up in the air, but the East WillyB crew must be pretty thrilled to hear about the studio. The article goes on to say…
