A-TRAK is the first DJ to win all three major DJ competition titles (DMC, ITF and Vestax), as well as the first DJ to win five World Championships. He won the DMCs World DJ Championship in 1997 at the age of 15, making him the youngest and first Canadian winner of the competition. He was an honorary member of the prestigious, now defunct DJ crew Invisibl Skratch Piklz, and a member of The Allies alongside frequent collaborators DJ Craze and Klever.
In addition to bursting onto the scene with such a dominating presence in the turntablism world, A-Trak went on to be the tour dj for hip hop juggernaut Kanye West as well as found Fool’s Gold Records which was quickly recognized as a leader in signing up-and-coming talent such as Chromeo, Kid Sister, the Cool Kids, LA Riots and Flosstradamus to name a few. This past year he went on to be known the world over as one half of DUCK SAUCE with the legendary Armand van Helden for their smash hit single, “Barbra Streisand.”
Local talent and support comes from an eclectic blend of up and coming DJs. Gunlove, DH Trentino, and Phenom start the night off with electro, hip hop, and bass heavy beats.
