Famous and prolific Mexican actor Pedro Armendariz, Jr. who’s appeared in over 100 films – passed away in New York City yesterday at the age of 71 after a battle with cancer. His father was also a famous actor. Armendariz Jr, was known for portraying sly, witty characters with a cynical edge, such as Governor Riley in The Legend of Zorro. He also appeared in the hit Mexican film, El crimen del Padre Amaro.

He is survived by his children.
