Lollapalooza: Where’s the Latin Music?

Summer is coming, and with it many music festivals around the nation. The Chicago summer fest Lollapalooza (August 6-8) features more than 100 artists this year, like The Strokes, Phoenix, Lady Gaga, and others, but…where’s the Latin music representation?

As opposed to Coachella, which this year features 5 of the biggest names in Latin music (Calle 13, Aterciopelados, Zoe), at Lolla we’re only getting Los Amigos Invisibles. Also, Camilo Lara aka Mexican Institute of Sound , will be DJing at Perry’s.

So, yes, that’s it. No more Latin artists at Lollapalooza, which honestly kinda sucks. Tickets are already on sale at Lollapalooza.com.
