Este verano continues to bestow great concert upon great concert. This week’s example: Anita Tijoux. Our favorite Chilean-French rhymer has set down a 12-date tour in New York, Philadelphia, D.C., and all around California.
First Tijoux will hit up the 2010 Latin Alternative Music Conference (LAMC) in New York City for a round of FREE shows, then trek the Northeast before crossing to Cali. The lauded MC and former Makiza frontwoman has been touring hard in support of her U.S. debut, 1977, a throwback-style collection of Tijoux’s favorite ’90s hip-hop fads. Chill yet funky. Great for kicking back with a 40 at a barrio bbq.
